چکیده

Water microorganisms contribute to the key components of ecosystems in dryland waters, which are extremely important for wildlife. However, distribution patterns water microbes across different basal sources still largely unknown. This study was conducted compare bodies types Kalamaili Mountain Ungulate Nature Reserve China. Bioinformatic analysis revealed that undirected microbial co-existence network consisted 15 main modules referring sources, indicated specific molecular relationships. It found most dominant phyla (namely Proteobacteria, Patescibacteria, Firmicutes, Bacteroidota, and Actinobacteriota) ecological shared same structures as community, justified construction via a random formation. Principal coordinate (PCoA) based on Bray–Curtis distances there were considerable variations among habitats, showing separate sample clusters. Additionally, topological roles subnetworks trimmed uniform size microbiome. The artificially recharged from concrete pond substrate (ARC) had relatively discrete co-occurrence, while natural (NRE) earthen (ARE) groups more compact with giant modules. NRE ARE also richer composition higher number species low abundance. Consequently, substrates may dysfunction microbiomes. Moreover, functional diversity is due intra-module connections inter-module connections, indirectly leading stable function resilient external environmental influences. In conclusion, microecology than substrate, artificial transportation less effect community.

Proteorhodopsin-like genes present in thermoacidophilic high-mountain microbial communities.

Proteorhodopsin (PR) sequences were PCR amplified from three Andean acidic hot spring samples. These sequences were similar to freshwater and marine PRs and they contained residues indicative of proton-pumping activity and of proteins that absorb green light; these findings suggest that PRs might contribute to cellular metabolism in these habitats.

Temporal dynamics of hot desert microbial communities reveal structural and functional responses to water input

The temporal dynamics of desert soil microbial communities are poorly understood. Given the implications for ecosystem functioning under a global change scenario, a better understanding of desert microbial community stability is crucial. Here, we sampled soils in the central Namib Desert on sixteen different occasions over a one-year period. Using Illumina-based amplicon sequencing of the 16S r...

Microbial Communities

The recently sequenced genome of the parasitic bacterium Mycoplasma genitalium contains only 468 identified protein-coding genes that have been dubbed a minimal gene complement [Fraser, C. M., Gocayne, J. D., White, O., Adams, M. D., Clayton, R. A., et al. (1995) Science 270, 397-403]. Although the M. genitalium gene complement is indeed the smallest among known cellular life forms, there is no...

Microbial quality of water in rural communities of Trinidad.

A cross-sectional study was conducted in four rural communities of northeastern Trinidad to determine the microbial quality of water supply to households and that quality's relationship to source and storage device. Of the 167 household water samples tested, total coliforms were detected in 132 of the samples (79.0%), fecal coliforms in 102 (61.1%), and E. coli in 111 (66.5%). There were signif...
